STARON SOLID SURFACE BENCHTOPS                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Solid surface materials are becoming very popular for benchtops, worktops,walls, floors and other furnishings when designing kitchens, bathrooms and commercial projects such as offices, reception areas, food preparation areas even laboratories.Staron solid surface material is one of those products that is quite often preferred by interior decorators. Staron is 100% hygenic as it is non porous. It is stain resistant in as much as you can wipe away any stain with an everyday houehold cleaning product.

Staron benchtops when made have joins that are almost impossible to see and will pass the closest scrutiny and also have great resistance to water damage.

Staron is a 100% acrylic product that looks and feels like natural stone which is one of the reasons this product is chosen for it's visual appeal and easy maintenance. Another advantage is that this product is durable, shock absorbent and impact resistant.

With a staron solid surface worktop, the appearance of any kitchen, bathroom or laundry is greatly enhanced. Staron countertops come in more than 70 colours with a limitless range of edge styles and interesting curves and other shapes plus inlay options. In addition to being elegant, staron benchtops are practical with customised options such as drainage channels in the work surface and heat rails and still very easy to maintain. If the worktop surface is ever scratched it can easily be repaired using a mild abrasive cleaner or light duty kitchen scrubbing pad.

Staron countertops can be supplied in one of the many colours and styles available in the range today. The Aspen range presents colours that create a quartz like appearance combining small and mid size particles in a bed of muted solid colours.

The Pebble range consists of large more visible particles in a bed of small and mid sized particles providing a granite look to the worktop.

The solid range consists of light and solid colours that are very suitable for kitchen countertops where there is heavy usage. 

The sand variety of colours come in a range that have small sand sized particles in different degrees of depth and visability

The quarry range of staron colours display large particles with a rich granite like appearance.

The Talus Range offers slightly translucent colours combined with crystal flecks in different sizes.

The Metalic range features metalic crystal flecks creating an impressive feature finish.

Breccia is the latest colour  in the staron range which has dark translucent particles that combine to give a mosaic a effect to the surface.

Staron material is usually supplied in sheets 3680mm ( 12feet) x 760mm ( 2.5 feet) x 13mm (0.5 inches) generally used in worktop applications etc. Where wieght is a factor , such as in vertical applications, sheets are supplied in the following size and thickness, 2500mm (8.2 feet) x 760mm ( 2.5 feet ) x 6mm ( 0.25 inches ).

The best way to clean staron countertops is using soap and water mixed with an ammonia based cleaner like glass cleaners.Follow up by wiping with a damp cloth then a dry towel. To remove difficult stains on dull finishes use an abrasive cleaner with a green scotch bright pad. Rub in a circular motion to get the best results fast. 

Semigloss surfaces require a slightly different approach. Use a soft scrub, a white scoth brite pad, diluted with bleach rubbing with a circular motion to get rid of the stain quickly. For high gloss finishes use a songe in lieu of a white scotch brite pad.Ithe surface is dulled by this action use a white polishing compound and a sponge to restore the shine.

Compared with other benchtop materials Staron is much more heat resistant, but it is still best not to put hot saucepans or frying pans directly on the benchtop surface. With proper care a Staron benchtop will last a lifetime.
